Oysters
Unlike other bays in the Puget Sound region, the waters of Skagit Bay are known for their outstanding purity. Furthermore, our farms are at a considerable distance from the urban areas, assuring that our shellfish are raised in non-polluted water and that our oysters are not exposed to pathogens.
The constant renewal of the aquatic environment of the farms as generated by the coming and going of the tides causes a continuous supply of nutrients that feed our oysters, giving them an unequal-able taste.
The fresh water input from the Skagit River reduces the level of saltiness in the bay, directly affecting the organoleptic quality of our oysters.
